Go To Market Lead
Blue Light Card. Individually great, together unstoppable
The Role and the Team
BLC Near Me is our fast-growing local commerce product, connecting Blue Light Card members with offers from independent businesses in their communities. We’re looking for a Head of Go-to-Market to own the entire commercial engine: positioning, demand generation, sales execution, merchant onboarding, and lifecycle growth.
This is a high-autonomy, high-impact 6-month fixed-term contract with the scope to shape something genuinely new. You’ll manage a small team and work directly with Product, Engineering, and Data to build a scalable growth operation from the ground up.
What You'll Do
Own the end-to-end GTM strategy for BLC Near Me: positioning, acquisition, activation, and merchant retention
Design and launch a sales motion for small local retailers, including outreach cadences, pitch playbooks, and pricing inputs
Lead the launch of a Freemium listings model into the local retailer channel
Build the marketing engine with your Growth Marketing Manager: content, campaigns, channel testing, and performance reporting
Configure and own HubSpot: pipeline stages, automation, dashboards, and data quality
Drive a weekly operating rhythm against funnel metrics: leads, conversion, CAC, activation, and retention
Oversee merchant onboarding and lifecycle with your Customer Success Manager
What You'll Bring
Proven experience leading GTM functions combining sales and marketing, with direct revenue accountability
A track record selling to local SMEs or independent retailers, building both inbound and outbound acquisition motions
Hands-on experience configuring a sales CRM (HubSpot or similar) for pipeline management and reporting
Growth marketing experience: channel experimentation, messaging iteration, and performance measurement
Commercial rigour, you think in unit economics, payback periods, and scalable levers
A demonstrable, opinionated approach to AI in your own GTM workflow, with examples of how it has improved research, personalisation, content, or sales effectiveness
Experience in local commerce, marketplace, or membership and loyalty models is a strong advantage but not essential

We promote hybrid working, and value in-person collaboration so encourage time in our offices, where you can make the most of our fully stocked snack drawers – either the HQ in Leicestershire, or London, Holborn office. The frequency and office location will vary depending on the role and team. We aim to be flexible, but we aren't able to offer fully remote working.
