The role and team
At Blue Light Card Australia, we’re on a mission to say "thank you" to our front-line workers, by helping them save on the things they love, through exclusive discounts and perks.
We launched in Sydney, Australia in October 2022. We’re a fast-paced, ambitious start-up (backed by our established UK entity), committed to deliver something extraordinary to our members, and we need passionate individuals to help us get there!
To help us on our journey, we’re looking for a Growth Marketing Lead to join our small but mighty team, where you’ll create strategic initiatives to drive member acquisition, activation, engagement and retention.

What you’ll do
- Craft and execute innovative growth marketing strategies to drive member acquisition, engagement, and retention, working closely with both local and global teams to align with our business goals
- Design, execute, and optimise multi-channel campaigns, across digital, social, and traditional platforms, always keeping ROI at the forefront.
- Keep the momentum going outside campaign periods by creating a strong thematic calendar to ensure we’re always trading effectively
- Use data, insights and A/B testing to track, measure, and refine marketing campaigns and overall strategies
- Collaborate with retail partners to develop co-marketing opportunities, connecting with strategic retail partnerships to grow our member base
- Stay curious – explore and experiment with cutting-edge growth tactics, technologies, and tools to keep us ahead of the curve
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in growth marketing, from an early-stage or scale-up business, where you’ve actioned measurable results
- Expertise in managing paid, owned and organic channels, and with a focus of both acquiring new customers and deepening engagement with existing ones
- A strategic mindset with focus on delivering results and impact
- Proven leadership skills to guide and support a small team across digital marketing, CRM and analytics
- Strong project management skills and adaptability – comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a high-growth start-up, and able to balance different priorities
- Great interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to build relationships and influence stakeholders across Australia and the UK
- Experience in consumer tech or membership-based/benefits-driven organisations would be a bonus
