Researcher - Market & User Insight
Blue Light Card. Individually great, together unstoppable
The Role and the Team
We have an exciting opportunity for an insightful and inquisitive Researcher to join our Design team and help us better understand our members, markets, and opportunities. This role blends market research and user research, offering a unique opportunity to shape product decisions, inform communications, and support wider business strategy.
You’ll lead research projects that explore user needs, behaviours and attitudes, as well as broader market trends and opportunities. Your work will help us uncover new ideas, improve what we offer, and better serve our community.
Whether you're testing a new product experience, exploring how members feel about a particular offer, or helping shape campaign messaging, your work will bring evidence and empathy into decision-making across the business.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and carry out research across a variety of topics, from product and UX questions to market and customer insight needs
- Collaborate closely with teams across Product, Design, Marketing, and Commercial to frame questions and find the right approach to answer them
- Use a mix of methods, surveys, interviews, desk research, competitor reviews, usability testing, etc, based on the goals of each project
- Combine findings from qualitative, quantitative, and behavioural sources into accessible insights and recommendations
- Share your work in a clear, engaging way that helps teams act with confidence
- Support a culture of curiosity, empathy and learning by making research visible and accessible
- Contribute to improving research processes, tools and practices so that insight can scale across teams
What You’ll Bring
- Considerable experience in research (can include agency or in-house, market or UX)
- Experience designing and running qualitative and/or quantitative research end-to-end
- Experience of leading or delivering research that informed decisions - not just supported others
- Confidence with tools like surveys, interviews, usability tests, or desk research
- Ability to talk clearly about impact - how your research changed or influenced a decision
We would also love if you bring any of the following
- Experience and/or willingness to work across both market and user research
- Familiarity with tools like Qualtrics, Dovetail, Maze, Tableau, etc.
- Experience working in digital product or membership/subscription businesses
- Exposure to agile environments or cross-functional teams (e.g. product/design/data)
- Mentoring or coaching experience
