The Role and the Team
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Procurement and Contracts Manager to professionalise and manage the full vendor lifecycle across Blue Light Card. You’ll be responsible for establishing consistent procurement standards, centralising contract oversight, and plugging current process gaps around due diligence, commercial negotiation, renewals, and contract termination. You’ll influence senior stakeholders to ensure the procurement process is run effectively and take ownership of inventory management, ensuring efficient control of virtual stock levels and implementing automation solutions to drive scalability and efficiency.

What You’ll Do
- Implement a standardised vendor due diligence process (financial stability, market benchmarking, scope fit, risk checks) to ensure consistent and rigorous assessments
- Lead commercial negotiations to optimise costs, align with business needs, and upskill business owners in negotiation where needed
- Own the cross-functional contract sign-off process, ensuring stakeholders are consulted and approvals are secured in a timely, structured manner
- Oversee vendor onboarding in contract management tools (e.g. Volody), coordinating with Finance on legitimacy checks and Business Central setup
- Establish a proactive renewals process, including supplier performance reviews (SLAs, service credits, compliance) and advance renegotiation for best terms
- Design and manage the offboarding process (notice issuance, permissions/access removal, account deletions, certifications collection)
- Manage virtual stock levels including stock reporting, forecasting and purchasing, optimising the purchase and management flow to ensure availability aligns with operational needs and is achieved at optimal terms
- Identify and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in inventory processes
- Partner with Legal on contract drafting and specialist risk review, ensuring commercial focus remains centralised in procurement
- Support business owners with training and guidance on procurement best practices, contract compliance, and policy adherence
What You’ll Bring
- Significant experience in procurement, vendor management or supplier management with proven success in lifecycle management
- Contract management experience with strong commercial negotiation skills and the ability to drive cost savings and optimise payment terms
- Demonstrated experience building and improving procurement or contract lifecycle processes
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency with contract management tools, ERP/finance systems, and supplier management platforms
- Experience with inventory management, automation solutions or contract law would also be beneficial
